Hyderabad: The celestial wedding ceremony of Lord Sri Sita Rama was conducted at the Mithila Stadium in Bhadrachalam on Friday, exhibiting remarkable grandeur and serving as a visual delight.
An impressive number of devotees gathered to witness the sacred nuptials of Lord Rama, which took place in the midst of reverent Vedic chants.
Pilgrims from various regions of the Telugu states assembled in significant numbers, creating an atmosphere filled with the incessant recitation of the holy name of Sri Rama, resonating throughout the temple town.
The Mithila Stadium was transformed to reflect the ethereal ambiance of Vaikuntha, captivating devotees who experienced profound spiritual exaltation as they beheld the wedding of Lord Rama, performed within an exquisitely decorated Kalyana Mandapam embellished with remarkable sculptures.
Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, accompanied by his wife, paid a visit to the Bhadradri temple, where they presented silk garments and pearl Talambralu (sacred rice adorned with pearls) to the presiding deity on behalf of the State government.
Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, along with Ministers Tummala Nageswara Rao, Ponguleti Srinivas, Konda Surekha, Vakiti Srihari, and Seethakka, joined the Chief Minister for this occasion.
Following this, the temple priests elucidated the significance of the celestial wedding ceremony to the attendees gathered in the pavilion.
Earlier in the day, the Chief Minister and the Ministers solemnly laid the foundation stone for development projects amounting to Rs351 crore in Bhadrachalam. This budget includes Rs75 crore earmarked for the enhancement of Godavari Ghat, Rs180 crore allocated for temple expansion and infrastructure improvements, and Rs96 crore designated for the development of the temple's surroundings.
